New setting: Nations: Babylon

After the shift, there were some drastic changes to the human nations of Elidrophyn and Halga.

Babylon
With the new landmass completely enclosing the inner sea, and the loss of magic, the Babylonian emperor chose to isolate his nation completely and strictly enforce the borders of the realm. They even went so far as to create a grand wall enclosing the city of Babylon and a enormous tact of land. For two hundred years, the people of Babylon has been completely enclosed. The lack of magical cures and healing caused the land to become rife with plague and disease. It wasn't until the M'ella made contact with the babylonian cities outside the wall that they regained their magic, trading it for the knowledge of how to make and use firearms.
Now, nearly two hundred years after the shift, the Babylonians have re-mastered magic, and thus they have decided that it is time for Babylon to re-enter the world stage. And a entry they did. The babylonians had not sat idly within their walls, and when the gates opened the babylonians had technology on a far greater level than the other nations of the world. While other nations have started to master firearms in the form of Muskets, blunderbuses and cannons, Babylon has access to Clockwork guns, howitzers and gatling guns, as well as experimental flying technology in the form of blimps.
The newly-coronated emperor being one of a scientific and exploratory nature, he has begun an initiative to rediscover, recontact, and explore the old world and the new. Expeditions being sent to Jokkafar, and the new landscapes, as well as the mythical landscapes of Io and Jotunheim.
